BORN TO BE is the eighth mini album by South Korean girl group ITZY. It was released on January 8, 2024, with "UNTOUCHABLE" serving as the title track.

The physical album comes in seven versions: Three Standard versions (A, B and C),limited, two Special versions (Mr. Vampire, UNTOUCHABLE) and two Platform Album_Nemo versions.

Background

On December 3, JYP Entertainment released a trailer revealing that ITZY would come back on January 8 with the mini album BORN TO BE.

Composition

“ "BORN TO BE," the first comeback released in 2024, encapsulates the message that "with freedom in hand, I will forge ahead as I desire in the expansive world unfolding before my eyes." Expanding broadly on the message "I'll value and love myself standing at the center of the world," which has been expressed as the core identity of the group since their debut, it conveys a more challenging and progressive story of expressing ourselves confidently and overcoming our own limits. ― Official Introduction

• Lia is part of this album only through her solo track "Blossom" as she was on an indefinite hiatus for treatment of excessive stress and anxiety as revealed by JYPE through an announcement on September 18th, 2023.
